A stone-paved path leads between low clipped hedges to a tall granite obelisk fountain with water spouting from its base, in a leafy park ringed by large oaks in early autumn colour. On the left, trees are wrapped in bright knitted yarn and a red-ribboned holiday tree stands near a flagpole with an American flag. On the right edge, a cream half-timbered Tudor-style building with red patio umbrellas and parked cars is visible beyond a black iron fence. Overcast sky.

Already happened in 2026

The City held Roswell Roots, its festival of Black history and culture, from Jan. 19 to Feb. 28, 2026. The Roswell Arts Festival marked its 60th year on Sept. 19 and 20 on the City Hall grounds. Not announced yet

No organiser has published 2027 dates for the farmers market, Alive in Roswell, the Arts Festival or Youth Day. The City’s Alive in Roswell page gives the pattern, third Thursdays from April to October, but no dates. Riverside Sounds, the City’s free concert series, is on hold until further notice while Riverside Park is rebuilt; the park is expected to reopen in summer 2027.

  • The City's arts page describes Riverside Sounds as six free concerts at Riverside Park; the Roswell365 series page described the 2025 season as fourth Saturdays, April to July. The City has put the series on hold while Riverside Park is rebuilt. City of Roswell: Arts & Culture (Cultural Services Division)

We also looked for a 2026 Juneteenth schedule, a July 4 celebration date and a Breakfast with Santa date, and found no City or organiser listing for any of them. They are left off rather than guessed.

Before you go

Most downtown events sit near City Hall or Canton Street. The City Hall lot and the new deck at 1056 Alpharetta Street are free for now, while Canton Street spaces are paid under a City trial. See the parking page, or build a day around an event with the day planner. Ideas for the rest of the day are on things to do.
