Alive in Roswell 2026: the November 19 added date

The short answer

Yes, there is one more. The City of Roswell, Georgia cancelled the June 18, 2026 Alive in Roswell because of forecast severe weather and added Thursday, Nov. 19, 2026, from 5 to 9 p.m. on Historic Canton Street and the Roswell Antique and Interiors Lot. It is free, and the City's listing says free public parking is at Roswell City Hall.

Symmetrical front view of a one-storey slate-blue clapboard cottage with white trim, a rust-red metal porch roof, a bright cobalt-blue front door and house number 1159. A stone path leads up through clipped boxwoods to the porch. A sign in the right window reads "Raiford Gallery, Contemporary Jewelry, Art & Craft" with an A-frame "Open Tuesday to Saturday" board beside it. A small black plaque by the door is titled "The Fowler House". Bare and budding trees stand against a clear blue sky.

The regular Alive in Roswell season ended on Oct. 15, but the City has one more night on the books. Weather knocked out the June festival, and the City added a make-up date on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2026. This is what we confirmed on Oct. 18 from the City’s Roswell365 listing and its Alive in Roswell page, and what the City has not said.

Which 2026 dates happened, and which one is left?

The City runs Alive in Roswell on the third Thursday of each month from April to October, 5 to 9 p.m., on Historic Canton Street and the Roswell Antique and Interiors Lot. Worked out from that rule and the City’s notes, the 2026 calendar looks like this:

  • Thu., April 16, 2026, 5 to 9 p.m., past
  • Thu., May 21, 2026, 5 to 9 p.m., past
  • Thu., June 18, 2026, 5 to 9 p.m., past. Cancelled by the City for forecast severe weather. The City added November 19, 2026 to make up for it.
  • Thu., July 16, 2026, 5 to 9 p.m., past
  • Thu., Aug. 20, 2026, 5 to 9 p.m., past
  • Thu., Sept. 17, 2026, 5 to 9 p.m., past
  • Thu., Oct. 15, 2026, 5 to 9 p.m., past
  • Thu., Nov. 19, 2026, 5 to 9 p.m., still ahead. Added Alive in Roswell date, 5 to 9 PM. The City’s listing says free public parking is at Roswell City Hall.

That leaves Nov. 19 as the one festival still ahead in 2026. It happens to be the third Thursday of November, so it keeps the usual rhythm, but the City treats it as a single make-up date, not the start of a November season.

What happens on the night?

The City describes a free festival with a DJ at Heart of Roswell Park, a band stage at the Antique and Interiors Lot, beverage tents and food trucks. Leashed dogs are allowed. Heart of Roswell Park is at 925 Canton Street, at the corner of Canton Street and Alpharetta Street.

The City’s page counts 15 restaurants on Canton Street inside the festival area and 25 within a mile, so you can eat in a dining room instead of from a truck. Our restaurant guide lists the Canton Street places with the hours we checked, and the Canton Street page covers the street itself.

When do the roads close?

The City says Canton Street closes to cars from Highway 9 to Norcross Street at 5 p.m. The event map on its Alive in Roswell hub page shows earlier setup closures: Elizabeth Way and Webb Street at 2 p.m., and the Roswell Antique and Interiors Lot at 3:30 p.m. Those times come from the general festival map, not from the November listing, so treat them as the usual pattern.

If you work or shop on Canton Street that afternoon, move your car before the closures start. Ride-hailing pick-up and drop-off is on Mimosa Boulevard, closest address 37 Magnolia Street. The City asks riders not to use Canton Street or Alpharetta Highway for that.

Where should I park on Nov. 19?

The November listing says free public parking is available at Roswell City Hall, 38 Hill Street. The City’s parking map counts 436 spaces there, and the Roswell Cultural Arts Center lot next door adds about 84 more.

The festival hub page also suggests the Woodstock Soccer Complex lots near the north end of Canton Street, the East Alley lot, private paid lots near Canton Street, and first-come street parking on Mimosa Boulevard and Hill Street. Two cautions: that hub page predates the new deck and still lists the Green Street lot, which is closed during construction, and the November page does not mention a trolley.

The new downtown deck at 1056 Alpharetta Street, with 394 spaces, is free while Green Street is closed. The City expected the rebuilt Green Street to open in fall 2026 and has not said whether deck parking stays free after that, so check the week of the festival.

Paid street parking matters on festival night. Canton Street from Magnolia to Norcross Streets, Elizabeth Way, East Alley and the East Alley lot are in the City’s pilot through Dec. 31, 2026. The two free hours apply to sessions that start between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. A session started on East Alley at 4:30 p.m. costs $3 for one hour and $6 for two, and enforcement runs 24 hours a day. Details are on our parking page and in our 2026 parking guide.

Can I drink on the street?

The City’s FAQ says Roswell allows open containers inside the Historic District for people 21 and older. Outside alcohol is not allowed. Drinks have to be bought from the beverage tents or the restaurants, and they must be in plastic cups.

Is it Alive in Roswell or Alive After 5?

Plenty of people still search for Alive After 5. The festival on Canton Street is called Alive in Roswell on every City page we read, and AliveInRoswell.com sends you to the City’s page. We did not find a City source on the other name, so we will not tell a history we cannot back up. If you are looking for the third-Thursday street festival on Canton Street, this is it.

What about 2027?

The City has not published 2027 dates. Its stated pattern is third Thursdays, April to October, 5 to 9 p.m. If it keeps that pattern, the next season would start in April 2027, but treat that as a pattern, not a date, until the City posts a schedule. We keep the dates current on our Alive in Roswell page and the events calendar.
